Catania’s international airport ‘Vincenzo Bellini - Fontanarossa’ is only about 30 mins (5 kilometres/3 miles) from the city centre. The airport has a small tourist office (open 8am-9pm daily) that supplies free maps. The Alibus (No 457) leaves every 20 mins from outside the departure hall. Tickets (about €1) must be bought from a ticket machine before boarding. A taxi from the airport to the city centre is about €25.
